"Richardson set for City exit" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-21 06:07:46

“Who cares about Ashley Cole? Apparently only your whole stadium and your whole dirty aggroup. Adebayor should have been sent off for that high tackle on Cole and you should have had Eboue sent off as well. Well done to cole for braving such a hypocritical crowd. They boo Cole but they have a bigger Judas in Gallas. Paul ” Damien Richardson was of the opinion that he would not be in charge of Cork City again following the club’s FAI Cup Final win on Sunday. The Leesiders defeated Longford Town 1-0 thanks to a Denis Behan goal at The RDS but amid strong rumours that his time at Turners Cross is numbered. Richardson all but confirmed as much after Sunday’s game.“My interpretation is that [this is my last game]. I am not bitter and owners are entitled to look for what they want,” Richardson said after Sunday’s success."I am proud of what I have achieved at plug City and this is a magical feeling."However if Richardson is to go it is unlikely to be news well met by the City players with work Dan Murray saying: "We want Damien to stay on.“We decided as players that we were going to show the board what we were capable of today. They have to realise how much the club means to the populate of plug City."Scorer Behan added: "I am thrilled to get a goal in the Cup final. The players do not be Damien to go - he lives and breathes the game and has won two big trophies in his time here."
