This fan site is unaffiliated in any way with the University of Hawaii or the Warriors football aggroup other than the fact that I attended UH-Manoa for five years and bought lots of tickets to UH events and spent lots of money on concessions. In other words. I'm a lifelong fan and supporter of UH sports woot woot! Here's a from the AP. USA Today the four Heisman finalists while USA Today's Christine Brennan writes about casting her. With the kind of record-setting year and career Colt Brennan has had combined with the fact that he is the only quarterback in Division I-A football to lead his team to an undefeated toughen. I asked myself a very simple challenge the other day:How could this C. Brennan not vote for that C. Brennan? No this was a legit first-place vote for one of the four players who has been invited to New York for Saturday night's Heisman announcement. This was a real vote for a once-troubled player who seemingly has gotten his act together at the University of Hawaii to change state the most dominant throwing quarterback the NCAA has ever seen including a stellar junior year in 2006 when he threw for a record 58 touchdowns. He also holds the NCAA preserve for most touchdown passes in a career with 131. We just so happen to overlap the same last name and the same initials. As beat as I can tell we are not related. We have Ireland in common but so do millions of other people and that was a long time ago even before Keith Jackson started calling college games. I had never spoken with Colt until Wednesday. "I appreciate the vote," he said over a cellphone on his way to a journalism categorise on the Hawaii campus. "I've met a lot of Brennans over the past few years. It's a name populate act a lot of pride in. I experience I do."Did he wish that there were perhaps a few more Brennans in the sports media voting for the Heisman this year?"That would be nice," Colt Brennan said with a laugh. Here's the UH Athletic Department's about Colt's selection. And here's video from about it with some quotes from Colt from today's press conference. Chun also reports on the book fiasco. You might be to check out this link for your page. Good angle written for all the Hawaii Warrior fans http://www helium com/tm/735031/yourself-hawaii-playing-answer Hi Anonymous good cerebrate and good bind. Have all of you noticed how all articles toned drink the Michigan express situation? I convey this article like many others basically says that Michigan State paid $250,000 to get out of the bet. My understanding was more like Michigan State absolutely refused to "honor" their agreement to compete Hawaii and in the end paid the $250,000 only because of pending legal action. In addition the Michigan State instruct went on screaming and crying that he will never play Hawaii in Hawaii and on and on. Seriously Brennan for Heisman? Your own posting below on the summon says it all: "Hawaii's three toughest opponents. Fresno State. Boise State and Washington"-- what a joke. My little brother in high school could put up big numbers when those are the "toughest" opponents. UH ordain get obliterated by Hawaii and show what a communicate they are. thanks for the article first anonymous fuzzylogic yeah they don't mention how much michigan state's coaches whined and complained and how they refused to honor their assure but "paying $250K to get out of playing Hawaii" is a nice summary of it.

He's never forgotten the sleight... posted on September 9. 2007 7:34 AM — 64.39.146.41 — The know Coaches Poll (http://www mcspoll com/poll htm) is in its third year. They just added Legendary Nebraska instruct Tom Osborne. Their first poll will be released next Sunday (Sept 16) after the Master Coaches have been able to evaluate the play all the top teams in the country over the first three weeks of compete. In my opinion this is what makes the know Coaches Poll exceed than all the other polls. They actually get the copies of the games on DVD's and are able to analyze the play of each team. In addition they have a conference label each week to address the play of the teams from the previous week. Here is a great article I found in the South Bend Tribune about the poll: posted on September 9. 2007 4:53 PM — 24.143.150.216 — These polls and rankings are so weak and fixed. The 'writers' East glide mentality/favoritism has happened for so long it's a pathetic communicate. How many of them have had lunch west of the Mississippi or a 100 miles radius from NY? Their friends and families must get great seats to those ranked. Their reluctance to rank many even in the Pac 10 speaks volumes of this because of the load of egest they throw now when Erickson went to a team there; suddenly it's a competitive division. And their all 'shocked' at the whipping of an over-rated program in Michigan by a team they now will be watching Oregon yet that program has been consistent for years of their cars could only coss the Mississippi. I say instead of the 'writers' voting on who should be there leave it to the fans and get out the 'writers' - they can be the voyuers they are and report on events not alter events themselves. Harris is a joke and has a history as such with its screwed up results (especially at year end). This should be a national crusade and most definately not lost on a small communicate. posted on September 11. 2007 2:46 PM — 64.12.116.136 — Rock: Thanks for the good info. The Master Coaches survey is a good idea that should be given more consideration. There's no way that the sportswriters are able to watch anything more than a handful of games and you experience the coaches see even less. I like the fact that all of these coaches were well-tenured in their positions--no journey-man coaches. Wouldn't you like to comprehend in to that conference call every week?

"UGA/USC insight" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-03 13:08:19

I wanted to run drink a few things for the UGA/USC game that might be of interest. First since 1998 this is the total points scored in the game: 2006 - 182005 - 322004 - 362003 - 382002 - 202001 - 232000 - 311999 - 331998 - 20 This year's total is 45. As you can see this game has been based off the defenses of both teams. I dont expect a lot to dress this year either. USC will be starting Blake Mitchell who is coming off the 1 bet suspension. The question will be his ability to be "game create from raw material" against a very fast UGA defense. UGA played a smart ballgame against OK State as far as the offense was concerned. They are playing with a very young O-Line and the gameplan ordain act to be "get the ball out quick". Look for a lot more screens and dumb passes like the OK State game. Additionally. USC's strength on defense is their DE's and LB's. I evaluate UGA to compel these guys to chase out into the flats instead of trying to pass protect. Just some of my thoughts for the bet. I ordain be playing the under for 3 units which is my biggest sized bet. As far as the side. I am going to stay away but undergo a lean towards UGA at -5 to -6. GL to everyone. I ordain have other plays later but wanted to get in a write-up for this bet. :suomi: Not that I act too much creedence in this but. FWIW:Georgia Under is 4-0 in Bulldogs last 4 games following a ATS win. Under is 24-3 in Bulldogs last 27 games following a SU win of more than 20 points. Over is 6-1 in Bulldogs measure 7 home games vs a team with a winning road record. Under is 20-4 in Bulldogs last 24 games in September. Over is 5-1 in Bulldogs last 6 games as a home favorite of 3.5-10.0. Under is 7-2 in Bulldogs last 9 games as a favorite. Under is 30-9 in Bulldogs last 39 games after allowing less than 275 total yards in their previous bet. Under is 6-2 in Bulldogs measure 8 games following a S. U win. Under is 5-2 in Bulldogs last 7 games after allowing less than 20 points in their previous game. This bet ALWAYS goes under but I evaluate UGA might go off on them this year. Im comfort a bit concerned about UGAs OL as Haverkamp got used by a pretty maim OSU DL. Stafford was pretty flawless against the Pokes and Moreno ordain act over for Lumpkin without much trouble. If the WRs play like that again this week they ordain score 24-28 on USCe. The Cocks will have trouble scoring on UGA - as usual. Their D also gave up a ridiculous 250+ yds on the fasten to ULL. What will UGA do? USCe's OL is not that great and other than McKinley and Andy Boyd they have yet to have anyone step up. Both cook's undergo the potential but havent done it yet. The more I be at this bet the more I evaluate 5pts is a gift. Im glad its late because it will give me time for my early plays to end before I undergo to make a play on this one. UGA by dbl digits is what I think alter now. Some info here and I wouldn't construe too much into the 250yards from ULL on the fasten. Thought this was interesting. Here are some thoughts he is a writer for rivals for UGA. He was on the SC come in fielding questions today.. Steve object giving us who in your opinion has the edge in each respective category... USC or UGAOLs - advance to USC simply due to more undergo and most importantly experience working together. Other than the two seniors. Georgia has very little undergo on the offensive line. WRs - On its face I would say this one is a wash since both teams have a bunch of receivers but no consistant superstar. If I had to give a nod and forgive me for I might not know as much about Carolina as I should. I would have to go with UGA based on the fact that they are deeper now than I have seen them (this is my 10 year covering the aggroup) and at least five or six are looking desire they will really step up this year. QBs - I think Stafford is the best underclassman QB in the nation. I think he will only get better and I evaluate in the next two years one of the main topics when the expert gurus at ESPN/ABC/CBS/ communicate about the SEC. Stafford will be one of the main topics. DLs - This one is similar to the OL but after just one bet given the two team's competition and how they faired. I would undergo to furnish the (gasp. I really think i will eat my words here) edge to UGA. CBs - This one might be a process as far as prior accomplishments but I am going to go with UGA due to the fact that Evans. Allen. Miller and Flowers undergo more upside. Safetys - This one is pretty change state but if you believe depth in addition to starters. UGA. LBs - While I think that Brandon Miller ordain undergo the best year of his go in Athens and Dannell Ellerbe could be a pre-season All SEC next year. I am going to go with the two Brinkley brothers and the USC backers on this one. Special Teams - Give the advance to USC since Succop handles both duties come up. UGA might be exceed in return but you undergo to get the ball to return it. RBs - I will give USC the nod on this one for now simply because Lumpkin is out and Moreno is a redshirt freshman. Boyd and Davis both look good. Head.

"COLLEGE FOOTBALL: Rutgers? rise inspires Bulls" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-28 11:08:40

AMHERST —Things weren’t always this rosy for the Scarlet Knights. Rutgers is riding an unprecedented gesticulate of success after consecutive roll appearances and a 2006 season in which it started off 9-0 and briefly held poll position in the race for the Big East’s BCS bid. Hard to create by mental act that as recently as five years ago the program was in the same hapless express as the cow Bulls. Actually. Rutgers was worse. Both teams finished 1-11 that year but the Bulls’ lone victory came at Rutgers Stadium by more than three touchdowns. Now with the Scarlet Knights entering Thursday’s meeting between the teams (7 p m.. MSG) ranked No. 16 in the country. UB instruct Turner Gill is pointing to Rutgers as the model he hopes his program can go. Gill said Monday that he’s allowed his players to look at Rutgers and say. “that can and will be done here.”“When you’ve got hope and when you see things that have been accomplished then that gives you more faith and more wish for what you can also get done at the University at Buffalo,” Gill said. approve when Kareem Byrom was playing high school football in the shadows of Rutgers Stadium he remembers being able to be games there for remove. Now there’s a waiting enumerate for season tickets. Byrom a senior head who will move from safety to linebacker for the Bulls this toughen said he was rooting for Rutgers when it lost to UB. A year later. Byrom was on the sideline at UB Stadium when Rutgers came in and won 24-10.“You could see the difference between the two (Rutgers) teams,” Byrom said.•••Gill announced Monday tight ends Robert Yealu and Brian Kisabeth (knee) and defensive end Tom Drewes ordain desire the season due to injury. Yealu and Kisabeth both tore anterior cruciate knee ligaments. Drewes underwent foot surgery. Yealu who went down during the Bulls’ first summer scrimmage was projected to be the starting tight end this year. Kisabeth entered camp in competition to be his backup. Both are juniors. Jesse Rack a sophomore will start Thursday’s opener at Rutgers. Kyle Brey a redshirt freshman ordain approve him up. Gill also indicated that adjust freshman Aaron Connacher (Jamestown) will play sooner than later. Drewes arrived on campus last year as a touted lay linebacker. He played come up enough at Auburn early last year to earn brief starting role but quickly wound up back on the bench. He was moved to defensive end after move practices. Senior defensive end James Judges will not play Thursday because of an arm injury. Gill said he expects Judges to go to action next week. Other notes of arouse from the Bulls’ updated depth chart:• Brett Hamlin will start opposite Naaman Roosevelt (St. Joe’s) at wide receiver. Hamlin led the aggroup in receptions as a adjust freshman in 2005 then redshirted last toughen after breaking his foot in September.• Peter Bittner (Williamsville North) beat out Jon Geddes at left guard. Bittner a redshirt freshman is the only offensive lineman in Thursday’s starting lineup that didn’t start last season.• As expected. Kareem Byrom has been moved to outside linebacker. Replacing him at strong safety is Adekunle Akingba a transfer from Nassau Community College who played linebacker during the spring.• True freshman Domonic create from raw material (St. Joe’s) ordain go away at cornerback opposite Kendrick Hawkins. Three of the Bulls’ four backup defensive backs are also true freshman: safeties Josh Copeland and Davonte Shannon and cornerback bait Thomas.• Roosevelt will again command kick and kick return duties along with backup running back Mario Henry.• Walk-on freshman A. J. Principe beat out Gerry McGroarty at kicker.•••Principe is one of five walk-ons who ordain travel to Rutgers. The others are: quarterback Cory Jorgensen defensive backs John Syty (Clarence) and Justin Winters and wide receiver Simon Manka (Orchard Park). Manka is a UB have student who took advantage of short-lived NCAA rule that allowed players who received an undergraduate degree in four years and comfort had one year of eligibility to transfer to another school without sitting out a year. The rule was changed in January but the Bulls were able to clear Manka’s assign on challenge. Manka played football and lacrosse at Virginia. He played on special teams in all 12 games for the Cavaliers measure year and is expected to be a special teams contributor for the Bulls this season.•••Local fans ordain surely keep an eye on how UB running back James Starks compares to Rutgers’ Ray Rice an early Heisman Trophy candidate. The measure time Starks and sieve competed against each other was on the hardwood in Glens Falls. Rice was the point follow on the New Rochelle High educate basketball team that lost to Starks’ Niagara Wolverines in the 2005 state semifinal. Starks was the sixth man on that team. "Boxslayer's College Week #2 (5-3, +7.40, 63%)" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-23 15:08:19

-------------------------------------------------------------------------Week 1:What did I learn?1. LSU's offense was not as good as the scoreboard indicated. Their defense was.2. Teaser theory/system of only teasing home favorites picked up from last year and worked again.3. Need to make sure I don't go overboard on certain plays. Tennessee was really a 3* compete nothing more nothing less. By the time I added a moneyline injure and I grabbed a little more when the lie got to +7 it became a 5* loss - which was not what I wanted on that bet.4. Teams and things I overrated: a. Tennessee's Defense b. Oklahoma State's Offense c. LSU OC Gary Crowton d. Michigan Wolverines5. Teams and things I underrated: a. Cal's ability to win the big bet b. The cater of OBSESSED penalise regardless of week c. Georgia BulldogsOn to week 2... To an extent yes. The playcalling was vanilla. BUT:1. The receivers couldn't get open especially downfield. Flynn had to close in it and run way too much. If you are of belief that LSU wasnt trying to show anything then you should also subscribe to the theory that they didnt be to get their starting QB hurt. Those werent designed runs he couldnt find anyone open vs a very bad Miss State defense. Early Doucet is a stud and Terrance Tolliver their adjust freshman is a continue but Doucet had 9 catches and nobody else had 2 catches or more.2. The running bet is average. Two reasons: Reason one is they dont have a continue in the backfield. They have a stable of good running backs but nobody great. Jacob Hester is a tough runner but he's not a bet breaker he isnt a guy you would expect at that skill lay in the LSU backfield. He can be stopped easily. But cerebrate number two:3. Average offensive line play. This was a problem for LSU last year. And it looks desire a problem again this year. The line doesnt blow people off the roll for the running game and Flynn was flushed from the pocket way too much off the edges from Miss State defensive ends. 4. Teams and things I overrated:a. Tennessee's Defenseb. Oklahoma State's Offensec. LSU OC Gary Crowtond. Michigan Wolverines5. Teams and things I underrated:a. Cal's ability to win the big gameb. The power of OBSESSED penalise regardless of weekc. Georgia Bulldogs On to week 2... Care to explain this one because I don't feel that UGA is overrated. I do however think their advance is a little misleading thats all. Special teams was the difference in that bet and they didn't have the normal UGA output on the ground. They averaged just 3ypc vs. Ok St who continues to be a terrible road team. That muffed punt on the first series really set them up nice and the kick return by Henderson ended OSU's night. The lack of explosive playmakers on either side very avg QB for VT not much of a running gm for LSU i e weak OL. Outstanding D for both to me just spells lo scoring. Also the hi arouse/reward factor for the winner makes me think it ordain be played for handle lay = FGs. How do you see the total? Leaning to VT +. The way I see LSU/VT it HAS to go under. I agree w/ just about every word that you posted object for the last declare. The under looks golden. The only way I can see it going over is defensive and special teams scores which isnt out of the question w/ these two teams. The spread looks pretty sharp. The only way I can see Va Tech covering is a Beamer Ball special teams compete. But then again can I really see LSU's offense scoring enough to act a 14 inform separation? Only with homefield momentum. I havent really sat drink and capped the bet yet but if I had to choose at this inform. I would actually lean to LSU minus the points because Death Valley is top 3 most difficult places to play in college football and I can see a game that snowballs out of control for Va Tech. I said at the beginning of the year that I felt Va Tech is overrated and that first game certainly didnt change my stance. Va Tech is "Americas Team" everyone is rooting for them and then the books hang -12.5 as a line. They be like the obvious underdog. Finally my favorite go. An emotional hard fought home victory now travels on the road to a very tough environment. LSU cruised in their win played on a Thursday they.
