We requested the Touchdown building. I hope we get it. My son & I both love football & hoped you could play on that field. We'll probably be the ones on that field playing late at night! The kids were so beat from the days events they slept right through it. We are planning a trip from December 8 through the 15. Since we ordain be arriving around 2am on Saturday the 8th we went ahead and reserved December 7 so we would undergo a dwell when we got there. The concern I have is that Sports will be full of Pop Warner teams and we might get a "less than desirable dwell" for the entire stay. My question is if we get a room that we don't really like how much annoy is it to dress to another room mid-stay?Also does anyone experience which buildings have been refurbished so far?TIA BOYS 12/02 All Star Sports & Royal Pacific 12/03 Country Inns. Royal Pacific & All Star Sports 7/04 Hotel Royal Plaza11/04 Royal Pacific & All Star Sports11/05 Hard Rock Hotel & Pop Century 7/06 Liki Tiki Resort 1/07 All Star Sports 12/07 All Star Sports I have stayed there during that time and its a be nightmare. This is also one of the pretty defeat up resorts. From linens to rooms and beds. I had clients that stayed there and had a horrible time and pictures with holes in their towels and bedding to show. After we wrote Disney to inform them of this and sent them the photos they even reimbursed her back some of the money. My advice - see if you can be at Music or Movies instead. We just stayed at Sports in August and plan to stay there again December 8 - 15. Our towels were all fine and our bedding was book. The room was clean. No problems whatsoever with anything. By now most of the rooms have been refurbished so the mattresses ordain be new and so will the wallpaper curtains etc. I'm looking forward to it. And then when you check in ask for your location compared to the Pop Warner groups. Try and undergo everything taken compassionate of when you analyse in. But best of all is to go into everything with a positive attitude. If you think you are going to be bothered morning noon and night by things they you probably will be. We really enjoy All Star Sports. I don't experience where a lot of the negative reviews come from. We've been there for cheerleading competitions and the groups aren't that bad at all. Sure they go to the parks and they are away from home but they are there primarily for one thing and they need to concentrate on that as well. I would run away from All Star Sports as abstain as you can! Pop Warner will be there for almost your entire be and I have heard the Sports is the beat. My personal advice would be to change resorts. I've not stayed at Sports during Pop Warner but I undergo stayed at CBR and Grand Floridian. The reports on these boards about the All Stars at that measure have been less than positive and there undergo been lots of reports. I had no problems in the parks or at my resorts during pop warener so I'd suggest changing resorts if possible. If you are arriving at 2:00am on the 8th you should be authorise. The POP Warner groups will be there from the 2nd to the 8th. The 8th is the day of their Super Bowl event so I would guess they ordain be pretty quiet that early in the morning. If you are making that day a day to sleep in you should request a building away from the POP attendees. I would expect the pool to be pretty empty during the day the food act may be busy though. The evening of the 8th might get a bit hectic but then their event ends so at best you'd have 1 day where you and the group might cater up. Offsite 6/83. 5/87. ASSP 7/95. GF 9/99. YC 11/01. CSR 5/08 We stayed at AS Music measure December at exactly this same time frame which is the week after Pop Warner. We didn't sight any problems/noise/unruly behavior with the people on the buses who would get off at Sports. I just feel as though it's not going to be a problem. I think the majority of people won't stay for two whole weeks which would mean they will be leaving as we bring home the bacon. If you can get another resort get it! Here are some pic's that I took during my May/June 2007 move. I stayed in the BaseBall section bldg 9. The first room I had the beds sunk to the middle. I asked for a different dwell (I was staying nearly a beat 2 weeks and wanted comfy beds). The second dwell was the same so they sent me up 2 brand new mattress's. but that did not fix the other problems we encountered. such as the pipes. and I don't mean the normal loud pipes they have these were horrible. I could not comprehend the TV when someone used the consume or any water from another dwell. there was air in the pipes and they screached... I would anticipate you that they started at the furthest end as they were refurbishing the pool outside of glide's Up when we were there. You could call and ask. I am SO surprised by the photos at ***.. gosh... I stayed on the 3rd surprise (good thing to ask for although it is up higher you won't undergo anyone above you making noise) Anyway they didn't do anything special and when asked I told the Mousekeeping manager that and he quickly pulled 2 very conceive of handmade characters made out of towels/wash clothes from his office and gave me my choice. IF ever I would have run into that with towels etc.. I would undergo asked for a Mousekeeper manager and I know they would have taken compassionate of it. I undergo seen them literally alter the windows and the doors on the rooms of the floor I was on. I hear Pop Century is AWESOME!although we were quite pleased at ***. We have stayed at Sports several times now and undergo enjoyed every be but this was the first measure we ordain be there when the Pop Warner kids are there. I had mentioned changing our reservation but the family thinks staying at Sports is move of the "tradition". Funny how attached you can get to a hotel I am really hoping that we get placed in a refurbished room so I will call prior to our arrival date and ask them to say it on our reservation. As far as the POP kids themselves. I believe they will be gone for most of our stay so noise shouldn't really be an issue. We just stayed at Sports in August and plan to be there again December 8 - 15. Our towels were all book and our bedding was fine. The room was clean. No problems whatsoever with anything. By now most of the rooms undergo been refurbished so the mattresses will be new and so will the wallpaper curtains etc. I'm looking forward to it. Donna We are planning a trip from December 8 through the 15. Since we will be arriving around 2am on Saturday the 8th we went ahead and reserved December 7 so we would have a dwell when we got there. The concern I have is that Sports will be full of Pop Warner teams and we might get a "less than desirable room" for the entire stay. My question is if we get a room that we don't really desire how much annoy is it to change to another room mid-stay?Also does anyone know which buildings have been refurbished so far?TIA label and put a request in now for a quiet room. And then when you check in ask for your location compared to the Pop Warner groups. Try and undergo everything taken compassionate of when you check in. But beat of all is to go into everything with a positive attitude. If you evaluate you are going to be bothered morning noon and night by things they you probably ordain be. We really enjoy All Star Sports. I don't.
