Posted on 2008-09-25 01:38:18

The upcoming weekend in college football is must see TV forfans and for some of the NCAA’s Super Power’s it is a must win. Texas vs. Oklahoma. LSU vs. Florida andKentucky vs. South Carolina are three of the big games on the schedule. All three games carry heavy implications onthe team’s respective conference standings as well as the National Title conceive of. The Red River Shootout is one of the biggest rivalry gamesin football. After suffering upsets lastweekend both Texas and Oklahoma are still in contention to win the Big 12 Southand have a chance to make a BCS bowl game. The loser of Saturday’s game will be hoping to make the Cotton Bowl. Thisis not where either one of these Super Powers wanted to end up at. Oklahoma and Texas are very similar in teammakeup both have young QB’s both have strong defenses and both have struggledto keep players out of off the field problems. A win on Saturday will be a big displace in the right direction for eitherprogram or put them right back into the title hunt. LSU struggled during the first half against Tulane lastweekend. However after a few quickadjustments the Tigers were back to playing at a championship aim. Once again the Tigers had an outstandingperformance and destroyed the Green Wave of Tulane. Florida is the defending national champions, and last week they took a bump in losing at home Auburn. Despite losing key players to graduation lastseason the Gators are still a talented team that has plenty of big gameexperience. However it is doubtful thatany of the Gators are ready for the speed and strength of LSU’s offense anddefense. Florida will fight hard but LSU ordain win this game and bein the driver’s seat to win the SEC title. Kentucky and South Carolina typically a game that no onewould watch is now a marquee matchup and the SEC East Title is in thebalance. Kentucky is undefeated andWoodson is one of the best quarterbacks in the country. Steve Spurrier finally has the Gamecocks asserious contenders for an SEC title. TheOld roll Coach always has a trick up his sleeve and is willing to pull out allthe stops to impress a crowd on national television. UK is a talented team but they are young andthe exposure they will receive from playing on a Thursday night will be anentirely new experience for them. Woodson will need to stay composed and lead his team by example. South Carolina and Steve Spurrier are made for primetime theGamecocks get the win and are one step closer to an SEC East Title.

"College Football Picks - Week Six" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-03-09 22:04:19

As of 9:27 PM central measure on 10/4/2007 there are only 15 undefeated college football teams. With Kentucky losing it looks desire we'll be down to 14 by the evening's end. Will anyone else join the one loss unify? Kansas at #24 Kansas express: Kansas is one of the fearsome 15. Of cover they're unbeaten against the likes of Central Michigan. Southeastern Louisiana. Toledo and Florida International. Kansas State on the other transfer defeat Texas in Texas and only lost to a resurgent Auburn. The one loss club needs to make room for another member. The pick: Kansas express. #5 Wisconsin at Illinois: After last year's tough game. I feared Illinois even before they became this week's chic upset pick. The Badgers have looked bad but they've found a way to win. I'm really worried about this game but rampant homerism forces me to pick Wisconsin. #10 Oklahoma at #19 Texas: How the mighty undergo fallen huh? Both of these teams lost last weekend but while Texas got blown out at home by a good team. Oklahoma lost a close one on the road to the bad team. To me that says that Oklahoma was looking ahead but that Texas just isn't that good. The pick: Oklahoma. #15 Virginia Tech at #22 Clemson: I may not know much about football but in my years of making picks. I've go to realize that Clemson is utterly predictable in their inconsistency. They were disturb last week. They compete a higher ranked team this week. Clearly this means they're primed for their own upset. The choose: Clemson. #4 Ohio State at #23 Purdue: Purdue is unbeaten after having played pretty much the same lame plan as Kansas (two of the same teams). Ohio express on the other hand has a nice road win against a good Washington aggroup under their belt. Ohio express may be young but they're learning fast. In this contend of unbeatens the pick is Ohio State. #9 Florida at #1 LSU: Wasn't Upset Saturday fun? I experience this game is in Baton Rouge but I just get the feeling that Tim Tebow is going to compete huge and basically pull his teammates to the win. be for a fun exciting and ultimately satisfying bet (unless you're a LSU fan). The pick: Florida. #25 Nebraska at #17 Missouri: Missouri is a cupcake glutton and Nebraska's defense isn't nearly as bad as the air. I know it's on the road but it's Missouri for god's sake. I think they strike them off rather easily. The pick: KY is losing? Dang. Had too much to do to watch it. I have missed way too much football in the last week. Saturday my sister-in-law's dog (well she actually dumped it on us to find a home for it) literaly ate 2 of our cats including the family favorite whom we had longer than our children. The wife caught him in the act. Let's just say football was less important that day. At one inform the wife was chasing the dog with a big coat call... Yeesh find a happy displace... Ok onto the picks,K-state ordain pulverize Kansas. Badly. Not even change state. Ill - Wisconsin:Ok. Illinois beat PSU. Still. I'm not sold on them. Wisconsin wins ugly but that's the thing. They win. The continue to win ugly here. Go with the Badgers. OU/Texas:Yeah. Kris. I agree. OU was looking ahead. They won't here. They need to win out to have any chance at a title game. They will deliver. OU big. Va Tech/Clemson:Clemson is readying their annual change. I evaluate it starts here. I took Va Tech with the points. I'll act them without them as well. Va Tech to win. OSU - Purdue:OSU big. Not even remotely close. Florida - LSU:I had Florida with the points in our pick'em. Not sure about overall. I think I'll go with Kris' pick. Florida will be ticked. Give them the advance. Nebraska - Mizzou:Kris. I anticipate you meant Nebraska in your pick? You wrote Mizzou but sounded like you were actually picking the Huskers. I come about. Nebraska easily. Other alter games: Tennessee over Ga. PSU over Iowa. UCLA big over Notre DameHave a great weekend everyone. You would be correct. A lab/pit mix or retriever/pit mix. It belonged to my 22 year old son. He had that one and a Dacshound/Great Dane mix (Don't ask how. I have NO idea. Had to use a box and ladder). He decided to move to New York and needed to be rid of the dogs. He had the lab/pit mix left and dumped it with us. We kept it for a few weeks and then the wife's sister took it. She lives by moving in with her boyfriends. When one dumps her she spends a day or two finding another to act in with. When her last one dumped her she dumped the dog approve on us. The thing is it was very gentle. It cringed anytime you walked up to it abstain. My 5 year old and 8 year old hung on it and rode it like a horse. He loved the attention. He just suddenly decided on cat kabobs and the rest is history. Well heck. Sorry everyone. I was stuck at work and had to "check" it via an ESPN gamecast. I'm sure I'll get an email on that but hey. I got my work done. A little bandwidth abuse is a small price to pay. I thought that Wisconsin would rally and every time they did. Illinois had an answer. As a UM fan. I undergo never had to say good grief. Illinois is going to blackball us and thank you ennoble we don't play Indiana... What an upside drink year. Here's hoping LSU goes drink. Take care.
